SCOTTISH EXMOORS

I am a self confessed Exmoor addict, having been introduced to the Dick Vet herd of trekking ponies while at University.  I bought my first Exmoor in 1995 and my herd grew from there; I have currently bred 13 registered foals, with hopefully more on the way!

There is an increasing appreciation for Exmoor ponies, thanks in part to the win of Stowbrook Jenny Wren at Olympia in 2003.  The numbers of ponies you see competing at various events about Scotland is also on the increase.  While there are other Exmoor Pony Websites (Links Page), I wanted my site to celebrate Exmoors in general but Scottish Exmoors in particular.  When I first set this site up the Scottish Exmoor Pony Club was in its infancy and borrowed pages of this site.  In their first year they have gone from strength to strength, including achieving affiliation to British Riding Clubs so they now have their own website which can be found at SEPRC.

I hope this site will be enjoyed by Exmoor obsessives like myself and possibly convert a few more to this brilliant, versatile breed.
